We loved our stay here! It’s a small town and this hotel is in the main area. It’s an older building so you will notice nuances. It’s best to set expectations that this is a historic location and will not be modern throughout. This was fine by us as it had character, a warm welcome and we were so comfortable! We would definitely stay again. The bed was perfect, the bathroom was older so had to shut the door for steam so the fire alarm wasn’t set off. This is a usual process with an older building. The staff were so welcoming and professional. Anything we had a question about, they were happy to help. It’s not usual in the US to have a breakfast option and they provide a small breakfast which was great.

Two minute walk to Schilling, a great brewery/restaurant. 15 minutes to Cannon Mt. Ski Resort. Very easy access to and from Rt. 93. Hotel is old (from the 1800's) but this seemed charming to us & it is in good repair. Floor in our room was a bit warped, but again, seemed historically charming to us. Names of famous people who have stayed at hotel on various plaques around the place were also of interest. Price was right - would definitely return.

The staff is so courteous and helpful. The location is perfect and the views are absolutely breathtaking. The locals are one-of-a-kind and treat you like you belong. There is a very intriguing history that goes with the Thayer’s Inn. I encourage anyone that enjoys art, history, good food, breathtaking views and helpful people to stay here at least once!
